Australian Consumer Law Statement
Last updated: 8 October 2026
ATLAS Lock & Key supplies goods and services to customers in Queensland. The Australian Consumer Law (ACL), set out in Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), provides guarantees that cannot be excluded. This statement confirms our commitment to those guarantees.
1. Consumer guarantees
All goods and services we supply come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
2. What is a major failure
A major failure is one where the goods or services would not have been acquired by a reasonable consumer fully acquainted with the nature and degree of the failure, or where the goods are substantially unfit for their purpose and cannot easily be remedied, or where the failure is such that you would not have acquired the goods or services had you known of it.
3. Our remedies
Where a failure occurs we will assess whether it is major or minor and offer the appropriate remedy — repair, replacement, refund, or compensation — in line with the ACL. We will not impose any time limit on your ACL rights that is shorter than the period provided by law.
4. No exclusion
Nothing in our terms, quotes, invoices, or warranties excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee or any other right conferred by the ACL. Any term that purports to do so is of no effect.
5. Further information
Further information about your consumer rights is available from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission at accc.gov.au or from the Queensland Office of Fair Trading at qld.gov.au.
